Part 1...

Early Sunday morning worship - House on the Rock, Abuja.

I get to church early enough to help set the atmosphere for a great worship experience. I Walk past the main entrance to the church as everyone is set in the busyness of creating the right atmosphere for 'church' consumers. As I walked by just like the song 'Walk on By' by Dionne Warwick two women I can always listen to call me aside and in some subtle motherly voice they quiz me... 'So you slept with her!' ehnn. I was so stunned and my immediate response was ..Who Ma? and the other woman concurrently asked 'why are you smiling?'  And then she goes on to say - there's gossip going around you slept with that girl in the choir.  

In my usual style... I smiled. I have not done such a thing Aunty was my affirmed response.

On that note you have to take this case up said the other Aunt to me, and I replied, Okay yes I will take up the case (but knowing that I did not have time for gossips that go around anywhere, I cannot spend valuable time trying to find mongers of such low life tittle-tattle.) 

I continued in service with my peace of mind.

Monday morning 9-5 rituals; then comes lunch break. Had lunch with some beautiful minds; left for the office and in the elevator I was caught in my own space reminiscing on the talk by the women who accosted me in church from the previous day. The frills of such accusations sets some thought instability in my space. At this point I put a call through to the supposed friend that the mongers had proposed I had slept with teasing her to find out if she has heard the gossip making the rounds in church.

Surprisingly she had no intimation of the gossip and as such I ended our afternoon converse on a great as it was friendship.

Wednesday at the 9-5
♫♫♫♫..There is fire on the mountain... ♫♫ and nobody seems to be on the run..♫♫♫♫ by Asa... Is playing from my workstation and a call comes through simultaneously. The caller ID is my friend in whom an accusation has been laid with me. Hello what's up? I quickly asked and she replied...
